Loving this - have passed on the recommendation to some friends who love a twang or two.
After a night of sleep deprivation thanks to the two year old I put this on and had a walk around town. It was like being in a beautiful dream.
Thanks for that mate - just subscribed. Look forward to listening.
Nice one, hope you enjoy itâŚ
Ambient is a new parents secret weapon, maybe it would put the nipper to sleep as well?
Itâs always nice to get a new release from x.y.r. & itâs another winner from Not Not Fun. This time he heads away from palm fringed shores, takes a deep breath & slips into warm, turquoise waters to explore the last great unknown, in this serene ambient dive, devoid of earthâs surface noise.
New radio show is hot off the press - Ambient electronica snuggles up with soul, jazz & hip hop whilst alt-folk & minimalism marvel at the sounds of Afro-Brasil. Check out this months new discoveries and a get a taste of the future whilst youâre at it.

Turn your Monday into a Sunday by taking a deep dive into the world of Home Normal - one of the worldâs finest ambient labels, with this âpay what you likeâ sampler compilation of tracks from their forthcoming releases, unsurprisingly containing some of the finest names in the horizontal music game.
lluminated by the glow of full moons, cheered by the sounds of nocturnal animals, via kaleidoscopic & mantric soundtracks, Acid Twilight contemplates the future of humanity with Not Not Fun & decides that music & psychotropic communing with nature should probably replace business studies on the university curriculum.
Protest music has rarely sounded as good as the new LP from Sudanâs Beja Power! on Ostinato. Hailing from the East African melting pot, the musical waters are further muddied by homemade instruments, elements of (improved) desert blues, jazz, folk rock & whatever sounds good, all locked into the sort of killer hypnotic grooves that can only come from Africa.
Not sure how I missed this one but thanks to Aquarium Drunkard for tipping me off about this contentment oozing fusion of New Age, âNew Weird Americaâ-esque psychedelia", meditative third eye jazz & off the grid, pastoral kosmische from Joys Union Group for Trouble in Mind. Itâs a beautiful thing.
Right up my street that! Cheers
The sky is cloudless & a vivid summer blue, itâs going to be 30C but the morning is still fresh and I couldnât ask for a better soundtrack than this New Age leaning ambient LP from international dream(scape) team Cordero & Kihara for Home Normal. Itâs ticking all my lazy Sunday listening boxes.
Thanks for the tip - this is lovely.
If you ever wondered what sentient AI will be chilling to once it has rid itself of us high existential risk, habitat destroying humans before tending to the earthâs rejuvenation, then the new Prime Vertical LP on Ilian Tape, with its electroid, tonal ambient undulations might well be a prime candidate.
The dub continuum is largely in non Jamaican hands these days as this live played, remotely enabled new chapter helmed by F. S. Blumm in Berlin, but encompassing players in New York & Barcelona, ably demonstrates with its homemade instruments, righteous horns & reverential but playful production.
This is lovely, thank you!
Ambient jazz communes with ambient Americana at the Aural Canyon ashram in the wonderful new LP from Cole Pulice & Nat Harvie. For oncel the musicians & instruments outnumber the machines & sound all the better for it, in this gently restless exploration of the most cosmic of kosmische realms.
Take a detour on the way to the office through Seawind of Batteryâs ambient Americana & cosmic country landscapes on promising new imprint Island House, & let the time slowing guitars, mantric looping & micro-overdosed haziness ease the work re-entry pain. Big thanks to Petal Motel for the tip.
