picked this up today - marvelous stuff indeed

"Morning Trip & Yoga Records are proud to finally reveal one of the ultimate lost masterworks of new age music: Alice Damon’s Windsong. Gently propelled by Damon’s haunting breath-of-life vocal winds reminiscent of Joan La Barbara underscored by field recordings and Damon’s fretless bass sound calling to mind mid-70 Joni Mitchell, Windsong is traveling music, for the roads or for the skies. Instantly moving, it conjures vistas both romantically familiar and cosmically mysterious — waterfalls and wind, the voice of the earth, as heard through heavenly prisms.

Alice Damon’s Windsong may at last be heard as one of the most singular, moving and profound examples of new age music’s psychedelic essence."

I can 100% confirm that this is the business.

Went onto Earcave and bought the new Apiento and the Aplomb singles as well as 2 garage bombs I’ve never heard before that we’re only $8 a pop so why not? Pretty pleased as the four records with shipping around about $45.

This arrived in the post today - took a while to arrive - forgot that I’d purchased it! Stupidly sold my original many years ago, so to see it listed on a local FB group at a cheap price, I didn’t think twice. Outer space via detroit, pulsing jazzy electro techno goodness.

Not really fitting with the weather today, but enjoying listening to it nonetheless as the rain pours outside.

that’s fuckin’ cool! i’ve been looking out for one of those for a while, i guess i’ll have to join some local fb groups to try and score similar deals.

speaking of records that you forgot you ordered - two arrived today.

first, this future classic:

second, this one that i ordered waaaay back in may of 2019. looks like pacific beach got them restocked and filled those old open orders:

Another day, another lot of records purchased - these were some missing essentials I had to have. I’m slowly whittling down the bulk of my collection and replacing the stuff I no longer listen to with the best of the best. Feels good to set free a bunch of 90’s house and techno and old 60’s psyche stuff that I just won’t ever return to.

Heidy Tamme - Suvi ei jää 7"

Gonzales - Solo Piano II

Sessa - Grandeza

Got some Ron Trent from last year (I like the originals too, not just the remix).

and some more Italian 90s sounding house from last year:

I got notified about the Flayer record being in stock the other day, by a London shop. So must be a repress. Sounds amazing but haven’t purchased yet due to monthly records shopping budget constraints.

Pre-ordered the new Vels Trio LP and mighty looking forward to it

Mach Pelican were a Perth based punk band in the late 90s. For some random reason their debut LP has been re-issued. Grabbed it today!
