What you going to?

Was going to see Burning Spear last night headlining a festival in the hills of west Jamaica. Postponed on Thursday blaming bad weather but the sun is shining and I suspect may have been poor ticket sales. After his show at the Forum was cancelled last year I’m having bad luck seeing the great man live!

Have a number of things coming down the line in the coming months. Something like 1 show a month or something. I’ll mention them as they happen probably but just today, secured tickets for The Jesus & Mary Chain with The Psychedelic Furs, looking forward to that.

Taylor Swift on Sunday… Wife is a huge fan and has been for a long time. Went to see her at wembley last time she toured and it wasn’t sold out, very different this time.

Haha! I’m looking forward to it, although 3+ hours might be a lot! A sign of getting old, I’m already worrying about the queue to get on the tube home afterwards

Off to the Jigger Inn in St Andrews with my mum and dad and wife for an all-dayer as it’s my dad’s 79th birthday. Meeting them at 11.30am to get the bus there for 12 noon. Sun’s out, taps aff :sunglasses:

As a footbote to my Small Claims Court claim to fame my colleague in Rio has sorted me guestlist for her uncle Arthur Verocai’s gig at the Barbican on Friday. I’m in London for work so the stars have truly aligned.

Sunny party in a great spot yesterday. About 300 people and two stages. Lots of fun. Feeling it today though

I asked a mate who was last night at a festival here in Ireland?

Who might he be talking about

My wife took our daughter who is a massive fan for her birthday. First gig and absolutely loved it. She seemed completely overwhelmed by the whole experience and sang her heart out for the duration.

I’m guessing this was Homer at Beyond the Pale?

Off to see Air tonight at The Piece Hall in Halifax. Support is from Swedish dub DJ Izzy Lindqwister. Don’t know much about her but it’s the perfect weather for some dub.
