Optimo are playing Connollys of Leap in a few weeks 
a early doors little bar in West Cork, flights from Gatwick to Cork can be a bargain and definitely one for the books… There’s a David Holmes all dayer on in June… Could be a bit of a smug fest

Wide Awake on Saturday (Young Fathers, Slowdive, King Gizzard, La Luz)
Gala festival on Sunday (Cosmo, Midland, Huneee, Alex Kassian)…this is literally on my doorstep…

OK The Lovely Eggs. Resolutely not for me. I admire the fact that they are self managed/published/released/promoted/merched etc etc etc.
But musically they’re like a middle aged Ting Tings, teleported straight to BBC 6 Music.

Attending a Primavera Sound splinter event gig next week which Phoenix are playing at. Only cost a 10€ deposit! It might be ok - or terrible - but it’s as close to any city festie action as I’ll get this year.
