I have a bunch of pals going. I really fancied it, but flights from here were too dear. I’m sure it’ll be a corker!

We are in Blighty next weekend for Dresden in Embrah. If anybody from these here parts fancies a pre-match rendez-vous to say hola then please give us a shout. Would be lovely to meet folks. We shall be there with a gaggle of the most solid of companeiros.

Down the boozer tonight :muscle::muscle::muscle:

A fun bank holiday weekend in London town:

Friday - Zara McFarlane at Ronnie Scotts previewing her new album of Sarah Vaughan songs. What an amazing voice and certainly did her subject justice. Highlights were her cover of the cover of Inner City Blues https://youtu.be/Wo-UEhSK5CQ?si=VC6mWDpFVjb1_lbZ
and Police and Thieves.

Saturday - popped into Lowlife v Stomp in Soho. Fun couple of hours and some great music in the Lowlife room, thought Sarahtonin was excellent. But wasn’t hugely taken by the venue in a film production studio - the poor soundsystem in the Stomp room was a bit of a buzz killer. Ducked out early as had family stuff on the next day.

Sunday - watched A Night With Beverly Luff Linn and loved it. Thanks to whoever mentioned this on here last week. Wonderfully surreal throughout.

Monday - rain stopped play…

Did my first London ALFOS on Saturday. Phonox is a cracking club with fantastic sound and lights. The crowd were lovely, as per, and top notch tunes from Sean Johnston. Keeping the fire burning.

And still made the last train back up North! :grin:

Saw him play with Kamaal Williams back around 2018 ish, he was brilliant, could listen to that guitar tone all night. Children of Zeus also made a surprise appearance on stage with them in what was a great night.
