I tried not to analyse it too much tbh, but a lot of it did feel like a pagan ritual. Musically, more creative and inventive than anything else Iāve seen in a long time

I went to hear Mad Professor at Giant Steps yesterday. He was superb and played a much wider selection of music than I expected. Started with a dubby version of Jammin which he then sped up into a D&B banger, into a mad steppers version of Kunta Kinte, then played a stripped down back beat and asked the crowd what it was - turned into a dubbed version of Staying Alive. Also in the mix was a D&B version of I come from Jamrock, Papa Levi, the Techniques, Queen Aisha. A real entertainer who got the place rocking and it sounded super sweet on those speakers.
The shame was that he played for only just over an hour, with Mafalda and two other Itās a Melody DJs playing very fast disco before and after. It felt a bit of an incongruous sandwich and a bit greedy that they didnāt give the genius more time. Iād love to see Prof play all night

Got my ticket for we out here 2024!! Super excited, last proper summer festival I went to was glasto 2015 
what with starting our veg growing business (not the best for time off in the summer) then lockdown and kids I canāt believe itās been that long! Hope the 2 tribes lot are gonna keep it Balearic and bump into a couple forum heads
