Yeah, he’s a pillar of the scene in Bristol, deserves way more props than he gets. Yesterday was as good as anything I heard in the Love Dancing tent at We Out Here.
Used to sell him records 20+ years ago when I had a shop and he was kind enough to invite us on his Kiss show to do a top three, which lead to the somewhat unbelievable scenario of my once being on the same show as Mel Cheren. (Clang - sorry, did I hear a name drop 
)

I have tickets but none of my lot can make it. Have 4 (or 3 if I go myself) to sell. £25 each.
I bought refund protection but unfortunately it doesn’t cover for over-enthusiastically-buying too-many-tickets-without-checking-that-your-friends-can-defintitely-absolutely-no-mights-or-maybes-no-buts-or-babies-make-it-for-sure. * eyeroll *

Not going to, but went to a lovely live show by an old school friends band at St Giles Cathedral in between Christmas and New Year. Amazing soundscape from just a guitar, accordion and fiddle (and voice).

I’m at Brixton Academy for the Dijon gig.
I seem to be the ‘father of the concert’ by about 20 years.
The last time I can definitely say I was here was for Cypress Hill which was 32 years ago, and that seems totally ridiculous.

Got tickets for Tryouts next Friday. Baby sitter booked too. Have had tickets for last 2 but then not been able to make it at last minute. Was unable to get the ticket resale to work on both occasions which was a bit of a fucker. Fingers crossed I make it next week!
