This is the most DJH like thread I’ve seen since, well, DJH. Keep it going. 
I personally never got neither Penguin Cafe Orchestra or Finis Africae. And it bugs me! I’ve WANTED to like them and I’ve TRIED to like them. But whenever I try to listen to either, I’m left completely blank.

In all seriousness: CD singles from 1997-2002. Most r&b from that time came with a UK Garage remix. If the vocals are a problem - for me they aren’t - sometimes you’ll find a dub mix. I had a really good haul just before Xmas where a guy on eBay was practically throwing away some interesting stuff, 20p a pop for weird and forgotten curios.
