I unwisely chased cool for years and it was only ever that satisfying when you were somewhere ‘secret’ for a few hours. Knowing what’s new and obscure is basically a junkie rush until the next fix. It’s never enough. Learning to let go and stop caring what other people think isn’t always easy but you get there eventually. We’re all middle-aged. It doesn’t matter anymore. So in the spirit of this post I think the forum should announce an immediate amnesty for anyone who ever bought JX Son of A Gun or wore British Knights or drank Fosters.

Terry Farley once told a tale of being at the Sound Factory when Junior Vasquez stopped all the music, turned off the lights then played this with thunder and rain fx over the top. I get you, but that most of been quite the moment, especially on strong 90s pingers

I was literally thinking this myself the other day after seeing his insta posts, the insta algo got me somehow…
I thought his posts where a bit of a jokey dig at first, will check a few more, but then was like.. “its not actually funny” I just couldn’t make any sense of it all, hope he’s ok!
Its all about that massive first grand piano note.
I was at Ministry when he debuted it and he’d gradually lowered the volume on the previous couple of records, so when that dropped it was thunderous.
(the rest of the intro annoys me too)

I really don’t get when people refer to an artists music as “indulgent” or “over-indulgent”
What does that even mean!! Isn’t the very essence of one sharing their creative ideas to the world, indulgent in a lot ways anyway “not in a bad way”
Its fine just to not like something, etc doesn’t need explaining
