Post Center Parks tattoo update - saw loads including some absolutely dreadful ones (including a whole arm sleeve of different bar codes) and that was just the Mums.
Gordon, Gino, and Fred.
A trifecta of tossers swearing their way across Spain.
Kill me now!
inadvertently caught a few mins of this last night. Gordon Ramsey is the worst, the definition of a 1 trick pony
It’s the gift that keeps on giving for ITV, still got 200+ countries left
Discogs. Just the shittest most complicated stupid service for sellers if you want to cancel an order but didn’t refund first. I mean of course who would ever think that cancelling and then refunding would be the wrong order to do it. Refund then cancel or enter the hell of trying to refund through PayPal. An hour spent pissing around for the sake of a ten quid order.
I did that too! Can’t undo that cancel button.
Saw a belter whilst away too, full shin covering like a Greek Hoplite - serious commitment, although only on the one leg.
I used to follow @suckytattoos on Instagram. Lots of inspiration for the aspiring tattoie (star wars?).
Lots of “No Regerts” and bad panthers.
Here’s a taste, if you don’t know it, fill your boots.
Re centreparcs tattoos. Two weeks at the Longleat centreparc I clocked a middle aged woman in the swimming pool with a two part tattoo- a garter belt around her thigh holding a .45 revolver. Clearly not a lady to mess with.
Amazing
Was it nicely done or just a quick draw?
I wish i had asked her that!
But if i had, I rather suspect that I would still be recovering from the pasting she was clearly capable of giving me
Two weeks? At Centre Parcs? Admirable mate.
It should have read ‘two weeks ago’- i did 4 nights. The nipper absolutely loved it. Im going to one in France next year. It seems to be cheaper and I need to see dodgy european tatts (i make it clear that me and the mrs both have some ‘interesting’ art of our own)
Phew. Thought that was a stretch!
I’d not been for five years and I’d forgotten the insane amount of money it all costs. Had a great time but probably won’t do it again.
I’ve never really ‘got’ Centre Parcs. I mean, I’ve just looked up 7 nights there next summer for 4 of us, and it comes in more expensive than the 2 week holiday we had in Turkey this August.
Indeed. It’s insanely expensive but easy to get to and kids do love it. But never again.
But which center parcs is best? Here’s how I would rank these quasi-carceral spaces:
- Sherwood - the OG. Big pool. Nice rapids. Lots of forest. Indian restaurant is decent. Mad geese
- Elvedon- another decent pool. Lots of forest. Squirrel got in my lodge
- Longleat - first one I visited, seemed absolutely huge at the time. Got a call when I was there to say my dad had cancer so not such good vibes for me this one
- Woburn - small pool but good water rides. Close to London so clientele are a bit more flash. Was there for a North London derby last October and it was pretty wild in the “family” “sports” bar. Small site with not as much forest
- Lake District - not been yet.
I’ve only been to Woburn! The pool rides and the outdoor rapids are good fun.
