Liz Truss and her plans for the biggest crisis since 2008 with a cost of living crisis. People struggling to heat and feed themselves and she is going to adopt the discredited policy of trickle down economics, ie. welfare for those that have.
Even the neo-liberal institution that is the IMF says it doesn’t work and only widens the wealth gap ffs.
Freeze of corporation tax and deregulating bankers bonuses like 2008 never happened.
Fuck the Tories, and when they get there, fuck them some more.
Sorry to resurrect the Dixon chat but it called to mind this absolute classic mix. I remember it was a CD giveaway at Watergate during the Innervison night he did there. So, so good
I think they know the game is up and they’re going to lose the next GE so they’ll make damn sure Labour inherit the worst possible economy, whilst syphoning as much money to their corporate mates and donors as humanly possible
That was a golden era for music which coincided with me getting massively back into partying again. arguably the last stand for darkroom clubbing as a weekly ritual. Hearing the tunes out at the weekend and then nerding the forums or beatsinspace the week after. Dixon and co seemed to tap into classic Detroit house but adding a European twist and for a while they got the blend spot on.
Indeed, we’ve willingly walked into an apocalypse of our own making. For anyone not fabulously well off it’s going to be a shit show, let’s just hope a nice War isn’t what the Government think we need to distract us. It’s a fucking disgrace.
I think Enfants still holds up but needs to be teased in and out in the rave. Sounds shit at home imo - the thing about Villalobos for me was that he could turn out a tune, if you could past the ketamnl neckscarf dross
Impossible to dance too. Or I’m old. No in fact a friend who was really into it took me to a night back in the 90’s when I was young. Ron Size so the sometimes jazzy elements in some records were nice but at one point in the night whilst he was battered he brought over one of those annoying photographers from mixmag or DJ or whatever and said take a picture of my mate. She said ‘he’s not even dancing or anything’ to which I replied ‘I can’t’. So nothing g to do with us being old and grumpy. I think.
How can you not dance to DnB? it’s the easiest thing in the world… you dance half speed like it’s reggae… I’d agree DnB today, Andy C style, with all those rave noises is pretty terrible.
