What don't you get

Yep, a mate of mine in the DoT is having to put the plan in place including managing himself out of a job.

And I believe the staff only heard about their plans when it went to press.

I moved out of the UK a long time ago, and The last time I went back was about 14 years ago. I have heard many Brits over here say how bad things have got, but generally thought that it was people just knocking where they are from as sometimes happens.

I left for many reasons, tabloid culture, football violence, violence in general and a traumatic childhood. Is it just a wealth divide widening and the social issues resulting from that ? or just political ineptness in general?

The Tories successfully weaponised Social Media pre 2019 General Election via Dominic Cummings and the Vote Leave cabal based at Tufton Street, and now can essentially tell ex Labour voters in post industrial towns that up is down, black is white, and the ‘forrins’ are the reason they don’t have any money/prospects etc and the thick cunts will ask ‘How high?’.

Endless news articles about ‘migrant invasions’. Don’t let anyone tell you that Brexit wasn’t anything other than a BNP policy brought to life by this Government, who are now just UKIP/BNP by another name.

I fucking detest what Britain has become. I’d move in the blink of an eye. My only hope is for Scottish Independence, although I truly believe the Imperial Machine is too big to overcome, they really can’t afford to let it happen IMO

Seriously, as rose tinted as it sounds, I think the Nineties was the last decent decade in terms of social politics. At least you could just about survive on benefits etc. Fuck knows how people do it now.

People engaging with the Depp/Heard trial and treating it like some sort of Marvel fandom type thing.

Yeah it’s crazy… I’ll wait for the movie to come out…

And so self-congratulatory. It’s also useless when you want to use it to attract talent.

I just found out Sam Smith covered Donna Summer and I want to burn everything down.

Aww I like him - Grayson’s Art Club was definitely a first Lockdown fave

The moody record store guy in 2022. And I’m not only talking about the guy behind the counter but the grumpy fucks rolling their eyes at other people’s purchases, particularly young kids’ forays into this expensive hobby. Don’t be that guy.

the Scottish Government has taken over the operation of it’s own benefits system and over the next few years applicants will apply via Social Security Scotland instead of DWP. The Scottish Government has explicitly called Universal Credit “cruel and inhumane” in its charter and is moving away from that model to one that’s fairer and built on a model of dignity, trust, and respect. On one hand it’s great because it means that at least some people will get an easier experience at the time they need it, on the other it makes me so angry that it’s only happening on this side of the border.

I recently had to deal with helping someone with a PIP application, and having been party to that I sincerely hope there’s riots in the streets soon.

I’m no fan of the snp, but fully support this. What I’m noticing a lot more these days is more and more people who are working and unable to meet their basic needs. Rent completely decoupled from wages and rising prices.

Really depressing.

On a side note: the longer Boris stays in No. 10, with his collection of cnuts by his side, the more likely we will see a Labour government in Westminster. If they can’t get over the line now, they should just call it a day and dissolve the party.

I think it’ll need a Labour/SNP/Lib Dems/Green coalition to be honest. The vast silent majority in this country are appalling scum and they’ll vote Tory no matter what

Can’t see Labour or any other party getting in power any time soon sadly, unfortunately England is true blue Tory through & through in the main, they love these tw*ts whatever they do, just like they love to bow & scrape & flag wave for the Windsors.
I’m 47 & the only time i’ve known Labour in power was when Blair moved the party over to the centre.
