guys n gals, i would really appreciate some ID help on this.
i dug out a cassette the other day, titled ‘cafe del mar acid jazz’; the blurb inside states 'acid jazz mix mixed by jose from cafe del mar march ‘94’. i’m sure it’s one of a number of tapes i bought from geoff/sergio at his ‘pop-up’ at camden market.
was going to upload it but found someone has already put it up on youtube here: jose plays jazz
the track i’m after starts at 44:25 on this recording (and again at 59:50, for some reason side 2 has been recorded twice 
)
typical early 90s vibrazone feel to the mix, but any track that ‘samples’ horace silver and pat metheny and sticks a cute vocal over the top demands our attention. well, mine anyway
