My mate saw it. Said not worth seeing at the cinema, try and “purchase it” online on the snide, he chuckled a couple of times, the celebrity cameos ruin it.
I didn’t find it that grim. It’s quite bonkers and silly to be honest.
Clearly I’m so out of the loop here 
I thought the other one was still “new” and had no idea there was a 2nd one

Fun fact, I got invited to the previews because I had ( & have) a massive collection of passport photos. Would love to watch it again, will line it up for a night in with my youngest.

Saw the new PTA film One Battle After Another. Don’t hesitate - see this film on the big screen - best I’ve watched in forever. Amazing work.

Saw this at a preview last night, didn’t really know what I was going to see and not normally the type of film I would watch at the cinema. I was blubbing like a baby by the end, very funny, very sad and ultimately very uplifting.

I welled up just watching the trailer.
there’s a documentary about john which is at times heart-wrenchingly sad but also outrageously funny.

there’s a moment in the full documentary where he’s waiting to cross a busy road with his dog. at the peak of the traffic he ticks and tells her “away we go” as if to cross the road. the look the dog gives him is priceless… 
Wow. I wonder if it’s related to this guy, I remember the documentary having a big impact at the time
Yes, it’s this guy’s life story. They use some clips of him, including the bit with the dog, at the end.

The Shrouds.
On the one-hand, pretty standard late David Cronenberg fare, but a very personal, and fairly freaky meditation on his wife’s illness and death. Actually a good deal “funnier” (in a deadpan, gallows way) than I expected. Ends up jumbled and a bit unsatisfactory but well worth a watch.

Just got back, such a great film, Pretty faultless I reckon. 
Oh and definitely one for the big screen even just for the car chase. Stunning.
Had to return the opening day tickets, but excited to see it tomorrow night. It already seems like a very special film.
Best of the year so far. Disturbingly captures our current moment.
