Home now and back to work today so proper back to reality. It was less of a relaxing holiday as we have a toddler so more of a change of scenery. Little sunbathing done. We stayed on a part of the island I have not stayed in for over 20 years, San An Bay (or Benidorm as I call it). We only stayed there as found a hotel that sounded like it catered perfectly for kids, a newly refurbed place called Can Salia which was nice enough. Little did we know that the kids club would be closed. Thankfully we have a nanny we use out there so she came to our rescue for about 4 mornings off. The Bay somehow avoided the rain bar one huge stormy afternoon so the weather was great. We got out and about most days, beach house, cala tarida beach, Ibiza town, Sant Josep, Santa Gertrudis, some water park or other, an aquarium on the rainy day, a morning by the pool at Oku Hotel, which is very nice if you are looking for somewhere to stay and managed to have some amazing breakfasts, late lunch/early dinners at El Silencio (new favourite), Giri (old favourite), Aubergine (going off it a bit), Passion Cafe (forever favourite), Skinny Cafe (great for little one) Tapas in San An is a good one for kids too. Loads of other places that will come back to me. Nightlife was virtually non existent so the island missed that buzz of people getting ready to go out. We actually found Ibiza Town too busy one evening but with not much else to do it was no surprise. We may return at the end of the month as half term. My nearly 2 year old took to Ibiza like a duck to water. She danced everywhere we went a made a million new friends. I think she is going to be trouble!

Sounds like most of our visits in last 20+ years. Did you go to Beach House on Monday for Christian Voldstad…? I do like his sets and he was there on Mondays

Loved El Silencio. Went twice. Could have gone every day. Perfect sunset spot.

I cannot remember which day it was unfortunately. All a blur now. The music was pretty naff so don’t think so anyhow.

Yep we were there for the sunset, atmosphere was excellent, everyone saying hello to each other, chatting amongst tables etc and the sea bass was out of this world. Wasps were annoying mind, trying to kill the buzz (sorry) as they also like sea bass. One impressive waiter caught a wasp in his hand. I was using a Mr Men book ha.

What do you think the clubs opening in Ibiza later this week.? Bit of a joke I think, when most tourists annual holidays are over and alot people went from UK, Ireland, Holland, Germany ect as they would every year. Still had a good time and some would have gone to Cova Santa, ushmush and spent a small fortune… Now they decide to open the clubs after having a very busy season for bars and restaurants expecting tourists to flock over for cheeky few days… and with silly restrictions still in place… No thanks

I suppose it can only be seen as a positive for next year. Seems a bit silly doing it now but I suppose some people with be pleased, especially the 3 x Circo Locos

Have you seen the line up for the first Circo Loco? Tania Vulcano aside it is absolutely horrific. Not sure I was expecting any better to be honest, the dip in quality has been present for many years.

Haven’t seen it but could well imagine.

You are best not knowing haha

Lol. Can’t see these openings this week being much to be honest, people are done with their holidays and most back to work, directl flights from most countries stop in October even before covid, wonder what ticket prices will be like… Saw on another forum Don’t packed your dancing shoes just yet people. Lol

It’s really only a show to let people think we’ll be open as usual from next June to October so book your holiday now. I can’t see to many young 20+ clubbers heading over from UK, Ireland, Germany ect more than likely alot of older retired ravers on freebies, will there be enough seats, and will you have to pay extra to sit down? Up to last week you couldn’t go to anything unless you booked a table  they could have done this months ago but because everywhere else were busy from breakfast to midnight and that is great for the island, with things slowing down now at end of season they decided to have openings / closings… Lol great move if it comes off… Only in Ibiza

The prices getting mentioned in this thread are insane. Salt Bae would blush.

DC10 hasn’t been decent since 2005/6.

All that sit on the floor bollocks. What was that all about

Yep spot on it is horrific now. It should have shut down the moment they all sat down or when Jamie Jones had a night there. Either is pretty horrific.

@Nice2CU2CUNice When I was in Ibiza a few weeks ago some friends of my wife who were there were insistent on us joining them at Cova Santa. When I show your post to my wife she will finally understand my absolutely flat refusal to entertain the idea. I believe F*** OFF was my pithy response.

How much coco loco is in that kebab by the way? Or is it laced with Colombian chilli sauce?
