Was sitting at the ocean on a bench overlooking one of those great New England winter seas when a guy came up and started making small talk like everyone does out here. Introduced himself as Dan and off he went. Next person asked me where I knew Dan Brown from. He wrote the Da Vinci Code.

On that subject was laughing as I listened to old one of Grace Dent podcast, siobhán mcsweeney the nun from Derry Girls loved the rave at Sir Henrys Cork in the 90s

A pic of me and Jamie Liddell shortly after driving him and his studio to Berlin. I think he’s in Nashville now. A really amazing voice and an exciting performer.
I remember seeing him sound check at The End a duet with Roisin Murphy doing a cover of Once in a Lifetime. Proper goosebumps.

He did a Super Collider gig at Skyy Club in Nottingham, he was crazed, rolling around on the floor screaming his head off, was both good and hilarious at times!

Crazed is a good word 
Some lost footage of him having a freak out at a beach party in Brighton years ago. So funny.
For the performance at the End he had a jacket made of loops of cassette tape, so it looked huge, and nebulous. I didn’t actually see the performance as I was asleep in the back of the van but that sound check will stay with me forever.

Jamie appears on a lot music production podcasts and youtube channels now from his lovely Nashville studio. He’s s regualr on Sonic Talk. Seems like a top bloke.

Sure I mentioned this v small claim before but Cristian Vogel was a university mate at Sussex 92-95. It was a veritable small claims bonanza: our year also included Felix Dickinson and a mate who became a Channel 4 newsreader.

He was a lovely fella. Maybe in Barcelona now? Must be at least 20 years since I saw him. Felix is back in the locality. He’s doing good things.
