Cool. Send me a DM and I’ll sort over the weekend for you.
Would love a copy too if it’s no trouble.
Absolutely, send me your drop box details.
Edit: Or I’ll try and find some way to upload for anyone who wants them.
Tempted…Paris Hilton connection scares me a bit though
OK - Anyone who wants the David Sedaris bits, here’s the link (valid for a week):
Seasons 1-9 of Meet David Sedaris PLUS the 2 Adam Buxton Interviews and Being David Sedaris Eps 1-3.
Let me know if it doesn’t work. I’m crap at technology and uploads etc.
Legendary founding member and bass player of Happy Mondays, Paul Ryder, who sadly passed away in July 2022, recorded a tell-all podcast series with his ex-wife, journalist Angela Smith, in the months leading up to his death. The resulting series, The Paul Ryder Tapes - Sex, Drugs, the Mondays and Me is his legacy. Hear the whole truth about the band and his life with no stone unturned - addiction, family feuds, mental breakdowns, infidelity and his son’s cancer diagnosis are all discussed in depth, along with some hilarious anecdotes about life as an unconventional rock n roll star. Joining him are some of the people he rubbed shoulders with, such as Paul Oakenfold, Mani from The Stone Roses, Peter Hook, fellow band members Bez, Rowetta, Gaz and Mark and even his mum makes an appearance. Poignant, gripping and massively entertaining.
Enjoyed this episode of Love Is The Message. Expanding on and taking a deeper look at the established story of Kool Herc and his Bronx Rec parties. And lookikg at how rap has developed throughout US history
These have been good so far. Quite sad but an interesting and different look at the Madchester story
Ive been listening, some good tales.
This is great. A huge talent who made a massive contribution but was repeatedly side-lined (as he tells it):
wow - he is so queit & off radar
He was always out in Sheffield but would always stand at the back & only talk to Winston ( occasionally Parrott)
Didnt he fall out with Warp as they wouldnt sign D Shake ? ( its in the Matt Anniss book)
When this podcast is good it’s very good, conversely when it’s shite… You know.
This is a great episode getting into Colombia, wasn’t sure whether to post here or Football thread:
New series of Serial is out, havent checked yet but they are the gold std of podcast
On it, nice one
Hey all - just wanted to share an interview podcast series I’ve started that I think the community will be into.
I’m interviewing DJs and musicians about the tracks that they would like to send into space on a cassette to teach aliens about life on earth! Bit of a playful concept Episodes will be out every 2 weeks, with the next this Thursday.
The first episode is with Bruce, who’s released on Hessle Audio and Timedance - he was really honest a great first guest. It hopefully should be platform for musical discovery alongside a fun listen if you’re a music head.
Let me know if you’re digging it Episode below
This radio 4 series on Joni Mitchell is lovely
Also the narrator has a really nice voice & doesn’t do that whole podcast scripted-but-its-not thing
(I don’t know anything about Joni Mitchell)
Just finished Lazarus Heist S2 - really good
