Travel sprays from Alexandria arrived and the first impressions are in.
1981X Based on Xerjoff XJ 1861 Naxos. Haven’t smelled the original and bought based on description. Lasts for ages and ages which was my only concern really. Love it. Will buy again

That’s good to hear Chris. I’ve only bought a few from Alexandria myself (Black Panther & Immensity), and they’re spot on too.
The science behind duping a fragrance is pretty fascinating in itself. It involves running the original fragrance through a device called a gas chromatograph, and this somehow spits out data which confirms the ingredients / constituent parts, and the percentages for each. From there it seems fairly easy to replicate by adding those exact percentages to your ‘version’.
I’m sure there’s a little more to it than that.

I like the sound of Black Panther but it’s sold out just now so will keep an eye out for a restock. Quite a mad process, I’m sure the originals will be pissed but the prices are getting silly so I’m well pleased to have discovered this. Test Pressing coming good once again!

Excuse the the question in this thread, but are you doing another run of these? 
I struggle to like any of the clothes or trainers anyone posts on this forum and my hip hop sensibilities mean I pathologically hate rotary mixers.
I’m just here for everyone’s exceptionally good taste in music. It’s the best resource on the internet to explore various genres that I like.
The knowledge dropped on eau de parfum has been a bit of a revelation though.

My interest and knowledge continues to expand.
I’ve managed to get hold of some Tom Ford Venetian Bergamot, which has been discontinued.
It’s amazing. My new favourite.
I’ve also got my mitts on quite a few other Tom Fords. The sample/tester route is the way forward. Good size testers too, all for a great price.
Tuscan Leather - not sure if this is ‘me’. It seems to last all day and the woodiness is unlike anything I’ve worn before.
Also, picked up Tom Ford Noir de Noir, Oud Wood, and Tobacco Vanille. Pleased with my little haul.

A seller had a load of testers. Presumably from retail or the industry. Sold all brands at the same price.
I’d assumed that they were all 10 ml bottles because of the price, but clocked the box stating 33ml. Bought one to see.
They’re ‘demonstration tester’ bottles in Tom Ford slipcase type boxes.
Went back and bought another Venetian Bergamot, plus the four above, plus a women’s one.
They were VERY cheap. He’s sold everything now though.
