Here’s a few of mine. I also have the Knuckles mixes of Blind:
I got a copy of ESG but mine is a (very good) bootleg i think from the late 90s
How dare you! Mala is a god among men.
I got given a vinyl rip of this at the time and never bothered buying the 12" as a result, which i regret now.
Mine’s a little tatty, in a mega thick cardboard sleeve. Moody and UFO play fine, so it’s all good .
Do you reckon Javaroo would sell for that much now that there’s a Velvet Season and Hearts of Gold version out?
Not sure. It’s a solid edit.
Part of me thinks people ditch their originals if a decent reissue comes out, and the other part thinks others seek out the originals after hearing an edit.
I was lucky to find it in a small collection I bought from someone on gumtree believe it or not. I don’t think he knew what he was sitting on.
I do like to seek out originals when I hear an interesting edit or reissue. There’s a lot of unnecessary reissues.
But in this case I’d make do with the edit definitely.
Love that Alicia record. I agree on Mala @TheNightlark
I sold a copy for about £40 a couple of years ago, and was shocked it was worth so much then. Looks like it’s gone up a bit since too.
Got a bit completist with rabbit in the moon stuff although picked this up for cost at the time of release in a little record shop in middlesbrough.
I’ve got that Rebtuz. Had no idea it was that expensive.
He once messaged me via Facebook to ask about a record or something. What he didn’t realise was I am way too cool to reply and he was ghosted before the stupid phrase even existed.
I didn’t get very far with adding my records to discogs but here are the top few. I guess the Rammelzee has dropped in value since the Mr Bongo reissue.
Got the Sabres album (mint) from Cancer Research a few weeks ago for four quid!
The Sebastian Williams is just gorgeous.
The Black Friday issue of Blonde by Frank Ocean. We got burgled recently and it was the only thing in the house I was worried might have gone.
