You’d think those Nuphonic compilations could get repressed. Does anyone here know the Nuphonic people? What’s the issue?

Mad to think compilations are going for money like that - is it because all the tracks are there in one place?

The loft albums wont be repressed. I still dont understand why the loft compilations are so expensive- the sleeve notes are nice and the selection is impeccable Some of the tunes are pretty available at reasonable prices and the whole lot have been booted as loft classics since time, way before the comp.

When nuphonic ceased there was loads of their stock dirt cheap in Fopp Covent Garden. Picked up some good stuff.

Disappeared down a bit of a One Dove rabbit hole and found Ian Carmichael linking to this soundcloud that has some of the demos and rough cuts from the second album
there’s also this - not sure if there’s overlap or what (not having listened to the soundcloud tracks yet)
That’s how I found it. Look down the comments and Ian Carmichael is throwing some shade saying it’s hashed together from off cuts, and bits he’s never even heard before, possibly by “the bass player”. I was quite enjoying it though

I have a mint original pressing of Flowers “For Real”. Bought it for $80 at a record fair years ago, now it’s worth a ridiculous amount. It’s a long way in value to the next one.

WOW…honestly can’t believe the price of some of these…French version of New Order Substance I picked up for £1 in a french flea market 20 odd years ago. Guru Jazzmatazz Vol II worth that much really? Kerri Chandler System worth how much? and I think I’ll stick to playing WAVs of that Tom Moulton box set from now on LOL! crazy…
