Mix link dump come one come all

Just listened to that mix, really enjoyed it.

Great set, never went but had a few Lord G mixes which I lost in a HD meltdown, always some great stories on the DHP, sounded great. Sunday parties have always been my favourite.

Oh man! I would have traded anything for those mixes. As a like teenage hetero rap kid that party was a giant eduction in how little I understood about, well anything. Watching Latin Kings hook up with trans women or like very femme dudes kick the shit out of thugs outside it was just like “I am so far out of my element and it’s awesome.” It succeeded on every element that disco 2000 at limelight failed for me because that shit felt like a sinister drug circus which it in fact turned out to be.

Only one I have is Lord G - For Beyond think it was an online mix from the period, can link it up for anyone.

I’d be really grateful

Most of those could cut it in the Sexy House thread. I loved that era and style of house music. Thank you for posting.

Randomly found this on soundcloud a few years ago & it’s been a regular weekend go-to since. Really ace selection of chilled/Balearic.

The sleaze tapes are FUCKING BANANAS. Costing me a fortune on Discogs but absolutely this is one of the most powerful Mixcloud collections out there.

I have a ton of stuff that isn’t on the internet that you may want to host on test pressing. I’ll DM you a list if you’re interested.

Yeah i’m a real sucker for sleaze and the way they played it back then. Some people have tried to revive it but it feels like it never really took off. Some stuff hasn’t aged that well but it’s more about the whole vibe than individual tracks i think. Do you remember those Peter Reyes mixes that were on Love On The Runs radio show (the name escapes me right now) out of New York about 15 years ago? They were great! Both true to the old school sleaze style but with lots of tunes that weren’t played back then.

I do! Love on the Run is actually one of my oldest club friends and after a long time not really speaking we realized that we had bought houses in the same town on Long Island. He would be a valuable addition to the forum I’m going to try and get him to sign up.
