SO glad this thread exists
Yeah, I used to love them when they came out, he has a great voice and they sounded really authentic to 16-year old me
And also I think your post is a great reason to love anything at all x
This has been in my head most days for the past 38 years. Can’t shake it.
Remember LOVING that when it came out. While we are on Stock Aitken Waterman:
At the time, I can recall quite a few credible DJs claiming this was a long lost rare groove track, before the artists were revealed and it achieved mainstream success. Seems ridiculous now considering how many samples there are in it.
I remember that although I was too young to understand the significance. Wasn’t it intentional?
Now that you mention it, I think you could be right.
Think I saw a documentary where Pete Waterman was going on about it.
That Fonda Rae track does not count as cheese, a total end of the night, tears down your face classic, and the dx7 bass programming is absolute genius.
Still sounds great too
I think the op was saying it was a cover. Top record all the same. : )
Definitely not. Just highlighting that Cathy Dennis reworked it.
I’ve just the original on repeat while making scrambled eggs this morning, god its so good.
Heard it at the fairground last weekend and noticed a few heads tapping their feet.
It rips off ‘Billie Jean’ but this one bangs
Definitely guilty of reluctantly shuffling to that over the years.
whilst others spent summer 90 immersing themselves in LFO or Spike Island, I was going nuts to don pablo’s animals and ritmo de la noche,
Sorry, but I love this:
