Played this at a friend’s wedding and it properly went off. Didn’t realise Optimo were playing it out, but I.F is certainly famous for playing it towards the end of his sets, which is who I shamelessly stole the idea from!

My mates didn’t understand this at all, I used to be the music guy in our crew making warm-up tapes for our trips to various dodgy nightclubs, they used to fast forward it, thought it was shit. Think it was Morgan Khan of Streetsounds early forays into ‘dance’ music. Still got my copy and lots of the tunes on it.

When i was a teenage Hip Hop fan, into NY Boom Bap, this was seen as the epitome of corny, cheesy, soft, sell out pop rap, sampling the non more cheesy Spandau Ballet ffs, but i loved it then & still think its great now.
So annoying that the original is not on Spotify. Some kind of new version of the old version redone by the original artists or something like that. I may be wrong
