I love this thread and have given a fair chunk of thought to the tunes I’d want played at my funeral over the years. Really difficult to knock it back to three songs and i think they are pretty much there for two of them
Discovered this off of the Creation “doing it for the kids” comp. Lots of great tracks on there but this has stayed with me as it is deep and a tad melancholy but just so beautiful
Final song for the disco at my wedding. Not enough superlatives and maybe an obvious one
and the third one … not sure yet. Maybe some nice Fleetwood Mac or CSN (Helplessly Hoping)

A really good friend and colleague of mine said goodbye far too young, during Covid. His family couldn’t have the funeral he deserved at the time, so he never got the sendoff he deserved. He chose this tune, which I’d never heard before and it has me in bits every time I hear it. Such a beautiful tune and lyrics. Its moistening my eye even writing about it.

We lost a good friend to cancer recently, far too young. Her funeral was in Geneva last week and this hit hard at the end of the service
