I have to be honest I went a bit gammon when I heard that story and thought maybe ‘online abuse’ = people not liking her music. But that makes more sense. A bit like when female DJs dared to have Boiler Room sets.

Or any other male artist who dares to do the same. And there was likely plenty of bands playing instruments getting some pre-recorded assistance.

I was clicking through the channels on TV t’other night and saw Rita Ora ending her guest appearance during his set by declaring him ‘the best to ever do it’
I quickly changed the channel again.

Caught them at New Century Hall in Manchester late last year, really superb and definitely star quality.
On your other point maybe a bit of the Downlow stuff? Prosumer’s set would open a few eyes

Was he EVER any good? To us outside the UK, he seems like a luvvie that Brits hold dear for some reason and he gets a pass even though he’s naff. That first album he put out had some corkers on it but it was very much of it’s time and hasn’t aged well. I have to hold my hand up and say I’ve never seen him DJ live but it just seemed like party favours with loads of filter abuse and jumping about. Or am I just a boring killjoy? Somebody who has witnessed him in the flesh please reply!

Is he actually doing anything up there with those CDJ’s or is this pre-mixed or whatever? I noticed he had a laptop with Serato running but it all looked a bit over cooked (no pun intended)

I still need the answer to a genuine question? I don’t watch TV but was it really that medley with Born Slippy and Rockafella skank and/or Pizzaman. I find that hard to believe with this stuff that didn’t date well…

Heard him on the radio saying he was in the process of trimming 15mins off his usual 90 minutes set. He knows his crowd and does what he does for them, still brings a lot of joy and smiles by the looks of it.
