Yep. Bit short sighted after yesterday!

Some result for Queens Park (a side I have a fondness for being a Southside boy).
We were shocking, but that should take nothing away from a huge result for QP.

I also have a soft spot for the Spiders and have fond memories of seeing them at Hampden as a kid in the 90s.

Yeah, one of my first football memories is being at Hampden to watch Queens Park play Cowdenbeath (my granda’s team). Being on his shoulders for most of the 90 minutes. Just a few thousand at most that day. My next trip to Hampden was with the late Rev Stuart MacQuarrie (one of my Da’s best friends) for the the Skol Cup final against Aberdeen - a euphoric and scary experience with over 70,000 there. Ally McCoist became my footballing hero that day.

Especially in those days with huge crowds. Before I got my first season ticket, Saturdays were spent blagging money of people to look after their cars duting the game. Take your cash and fuck off

And then they would open the enclosures in the main stand for the last 10-15 minutes - The smell of alcohol, smoke and piss as you squeezed your way to thee front so you could actually see.

Couldn’t agree more - you triggered memories of my first Old Firm match in 1985 or 86. Absolute bedlam! I went into the toilets in the Jungle and the entire length of the stand was 2cm deep in p!sh. Swamped in biblical amounts of the stuff!! :joy::joy: And the intense smell of horse sh!te is still with me to this day.

Yeah wasn’t a very pleasant experience a lot of the time. I did use to love the old working class men dressed up in their proper clobber for a game of football. I wasn’t allowed to go to an Old Firm until I was 16 because my parents hated the rampant bigotry and violence that was always there.

I remember going to an Aberdeen v Dundee at Pittodrie with a couple of Dundee pals and getting jumped on and battered silly once they realised I had a Rangers scarf under my jacket.

They did well against a pretty much full strength city side.

6 more points. Edgy 2nd half after a great first. And the skipper sorted shit out. What a man.

My two old mates I go to the Spurs with, bought us all flights & accommodation to Bilbao for my 50th back in September… my team have been an injury/strategically-induced laughing stock this season - but I’m not falling for it (I’ve been here before)
