Will never get the respect he deserves, in my opinion. Imagine if he was Brazilian. Or English…

Anyone seen Noel Gallagher lately? Normally cant get away from him. Come to think of it not seen any City fans since October. You love to see it! Awful, vacuous soulless club

Strangely silent. Love it.

One right here boys. And, yes, I was there when we were shit. Went to every away game when I lived there in 05/06 including Portsmouth away where I stood in the driving rain watching a Stuart Pearce tactical masterclass unfold. If the highlight of the year was a Robbie Fowler hattrick against Scunthorpe you know it wasn’t exactly halcyon days.

Before then it was a trip - when I could afford it - every couple of years to walk through moss side on my own to watch a team I only liked because my United supporting family decided that in 1989 ten year old me could support the winner of the derby. City ran out 5-1 winners and I became a blue.

People ask me what I think of the club now after enduring years of diabolical ownership, tactics and goalkeepers playing as strikers, and strikers playing left back etc. and there are large parts of the club I don’t recognize. The fan base of people who don’t know anything but success and are having kittens at the moment is amusing but also probably what turns everyone off about the club online, I will say that there’s a large amount of supporters who have been through it all and seen it all that still go and carry the heartbeat of the club. The no fans thing makes me laugh as it’s only true to people who think football started in 1992.

Anyway rambling now but just putting my hand up and saying I am here.

Irony is my son is a Hammer - who we used to have a weird footballing kinship with before the money and whose fans didn’t mind if I sat with them years ago when I couldn’t get a ticket in the away end - and he only likes them because of FIFA. He’s pretty invested though and a few years ago when I was trying to convert him but the bastards beat a team I used to love in the post-italia 90 serie A tv highlights thing that was going around at the time - 3 weeks late in South Africa, mind you - and he scream cried with joy I knew I lost him. His anger towards Declan Rice is quite funny and when I want to annoy him all I have to do is slowly whisper Rice Rice Baby and it kicks off.

Ridiculously good player and the backbone of my fantasy team.

Read a really interesting article about Salah based on analytics. Gist of it was statistically he’s due to drop off so giving him a big contract is daft (although it was all much more nuanced than that) but Liverpool have a really big decision to make. If they go with the statistical probability they are likely to be deeply unpopular

Salah defies statistics, we’ve simply got to keep him, 2 years would be ideal, he’s not done breaking records YNWA

On the upside, if/when he does leave, at least we’re in position to attract a top level replacement. Replacing VVD might actually be harder.

At his age I can’t see him accepting a two year deal and the stats say anything over that would be folly so will be really interesting to see how it plays out

Amazing performance tonight again but also left 3 goals out there. Best in the world.

And that’s it for Rooney at Argyle, mutual parting of ways.
Can’t believe I never bumped into him, I live a short walk from the stadium and drink in some of the same places he did, a night out with him could have been entertaining

A shame, I wanted it to work out for him but it looks like management isn’t for him.

Same here, lives and breathes it. Thought he was a good pundit when he was on the Euros; just goes to show having the insights and ideas is one thing - getting them across to the players is another. My brother went on Boxing Day when they played us, said Argyle were by far the worst team he’s seen in years at Cov (and that includes us ).
