I’m in Stuttgart for Scotland vs Hungary on Sunday. My son’s doing a semester at a uni near Stuttgart so has worked out rather well. Seems half of Scotland is here. Had to bail earlier as I’d been awake for 36 hours getting here. There will be scenes tomorrow.

That was proper blood & thunder stuff. Sad to see the Scots go out, deserved something out of the game and that was a stone wall pen. Hope the Hungarian lad is OK, looked pretty sickening
That was a real sickener last night. We didn’t really deserve to go through but we should have had a pen and to concede in the 100th minute was a real kick in the nuts. Had a good day in Stuttgart with my lad and his mates. Good atmosphere everywhere and the Germans seemed to like us. Back to the drawing board.

We really didn’t deserve to go through - far too cautious tactically, zero goal threat. Steve Clarke has done a great job in getting us to the Euro’s twice in a row, but he frustrates the hell out of me. An all or nothing game and he sets us up like that? We only really started to have a threat once we changed to 4-4-2 for about the last 10 minutes.
A very frustrating, missed opportunity.

History suggests a bounce tomorrow night (cue “it’s coming home” mania) then the meltdown in the next match when we lose 4-0 to Austria.
