Just so weird isn’t he…? Can’t imagine what having a pint with Jordan would be like. Surely not worse than with Kyle Walker.
Havent got a good feeling about it. We need everything to go our way and get as much luck as possible. We’ll need to beat a big team in the latter stages, which we still havent done. Probably France. Hopefully Mbappe will get clattered in the group stages
My general apathy with the England team shocks even myself, I even feel a tinge of guilt because this lot on the whole seem like a decent bunch and they can play a bit. Not sure what it is really, I’ve got friends who follow Wales and I could never imagine feeling as onboard with the national team like they do, similar situation with Scotland having lived up there and in-laws etc. Those flags on the cars annoy me… Are they still a thing!!!
Looking forward to a festival of ‘footy’ 
though, with few geo-political rivalries and previous history thrown in it all makes for interesting viewing. Get the salty snacks in

Anyone else have football fatigue? Been so much since Covid it feels like it never ends and it’d be nice to not have it everywhere for a couple of weeks.

Yep know what you mean, seeing that Championship TV deal which I think starts next season it’s going to be non-stop.
Always enjoy an Olympic or Ashes summer, nice palette cleanser.
I prefer the Olympics too tbh. Shamelessly commercialised of course (and bent to its core) but at least you’re spared the chizzed up baboons chanting “10 green bombers” at German bartenders
100% for some reason I watched that Netflix doc about the Wembley Euro final debacle. Man alive

Watched 2018 England Euros game in a Berlin restaurant ( not in a particlulary cool bit of town)
We were sat eating next to big screen, big crowd of ‘normal’ locals gathered & were so friendly talking to us & rember thinking if reverse happened in UK it wouldn’t be like that

…,but on an altogether brighter, more balearic note……does anyone remember when they used to play “The sun rising” by The Beloved on Football Focus on Grandstand? This pops into my mind from time to time, but it always floats off again before I ask my pals about it. You guys are the perfect crowd to ask - must have been late ‘89 or early ‘90.
