There will be an edit on Bandcamp in time for BC Friday now!
Men will literally name a drug ecstasy instead of therapy.
It actually speaks to the two camps at the time. The drug was still legal in the US and advocates were either wanting to keep it on the down low and use it as a tool in therapy, or to produce/sell it in vast quantities so everyone could have some because it was SOOOOO GOOOOOOD. Michael Clegg wanted to make/sell lots of it but was not an experienced dealer/distributor of product so he didnât get the marketing angle and the need for an attractive name. Whilst weâve all probably had some incredibly therapeutic experiences on it, it likely wouldnât have taken off in the same way with the name Therapy.
I wonder how the U.K. tabloids would have dealt with âEvil Therapy Barons destroying childrenâs futuresâ?
Theeze r good! Theeze r good!
The band Therapy? would have taken a whole new direction
It sounds like an urban myth or someone talking things up
Wonder what Shulgin says in his books?
No for the record I wasnât doubting you, Iâm just surprised as I thought/assumed it was Shulgin that had a hand in naming it.
Wasnât it originally known as something else when it was legal in California?
P.S. I gotta read that book
need to read that.
*I follow @StarckClub84 but not sure if itâs people who were involved in Dallas or a tribute account?
This book is brilliant. Bought it ages ago and only just picked it up. Makes me want to dive into some Therapy, big time!
@Apiento how about a âTherapy will never sellâ t-shirt?!
If you like stuff like this, read the Thumbprint story by chinacat. Mind blowing, literallyâŚ
Thatâs the one.
Having had pretty strong experiences with upwards of 450ug, I canât imagine what a âthumbprintâ would be like. Sounds crazy!
Being in that state for days/weeks?
âAdamâ iirc
Thatâs it
iâm picturing a spin on the âJunglistâ tee of old with the decks, updated to âTherapistâ with suitable circular objectsâŚ
Hehehe. Might be a bit left of my normal style : )
Therapy - itâll never catch on
