This one was huge for me when it came out ten (!) years ago. Much love for Vol. 2 as well!

This is pure joy from beginning to end.

Technically a mix, but the tracks were so diverse that it felt more compilation. I remember hearing ‘fedimes flight’ for the first time & feeling compelled to explore jazzanova.

Similarly with the Kings of Jazz album where I first heard ‘peace piece’ by Bill Evans and went down that rabbit hole.

Love this, recently picked up the 2 CD version for 99p from Juno

This entire series is unmissable, but the best one was #1, right out the gate. Too bad it got so expensive, but then again it’s relative, as most of the records in the comp are even more expensive.

The basso compilation is amazing in my opinion

Talk elsewhere of soul 2 soul at the Africa centre reminded me of casual records and this and the associated volume 2, both of which were excellent. (Way beyond nashville was pretty good as well)

Same, got this and another compilation on same label. 99p each from Juno. Perfect for car journeys.

This is how I discovered a lot of the music I still love today. I was 18 and I was mainly hearing either big beat or prog trance in clubs at the time.
