Love it. Still have the cd and the record. In fact the label is ace full stop.
Yep, great label…love all the Kenny Larkin releases and the Transmat comp is killer too
A lot of great comps and comp labels already mentioned … and some killer ones new to me too, thanks!
I like the a colourful storm comps by moopie, e.g.
this one on efficient space is a real private press heart melter
and finally I have to mention our local hero basso
the new one on his own growing bin is great too…
LOVE konk
This one was huge for me when it came out ten (!) years ago. Much love for Vol. 2 as well!
This is pure joy from beginning to end.
Technically a mix, but the tracks were so diverse that it felt more compilation. I remember hearing ‘fedimes flight’ for the first time & feeling compelled to explore jazzanova.
Similarly with the Kings of Jazz album where I first heard ‘peace piece’ by Bill Evans and went down that rabbit hole.
This entire series is unmissable, but the best one was #1, right out the gate. Too bad it got so expensive, but then again it’s relative, as most of the records in the comp are even more expensive.
The basso compilation is amazing in my opinion
Talk elsewhere of soul 2 soul at the Africa centre reminded me of casual records and this and the associated volume 2, both of which were excellent. (Way beyond nashville was pretty good as well)
Big yes to this! That cover of Juicy is so good.
This one is timeless for me.
Great name, cover and worth it for the ice t track alone
Absolutely love a compilation few I’ve enjoyed
Psychemagik + the other 3
Same, got this and another compilation on same label. 99p each from Juno. Perfect for car journeys.
This is how I discovered a lot of the music I still love today. I was 18 and I was mainly hearing either big beat or prog trance in clubs at the time.
