Got you. If it’s crap it’s going back

It’s all arrived and it’s crap. Really crap. Cheap and weird fitting, they’re letting themselves down here. Not up to their usual standards so it’s on its way back.

I should have clocked it for what it was with the low pricing of it all. :man_facepalming:

Folk has been on the slide for a few years now unfortunately. Used to be my go-to but I haven’t bought anything of theirs for at least 2 years, probably more. The stuff that crops up in TK Maxx is the same as their outlet/sale and it’s almost always really poor quality. Even their new season premium stuff seems sub-standard compared to the Folk of old.

YMC on the other hand seems to be getting better and better, but the pricing is reflective of that I think.

sorry to hear that, my experience was the same, poor quality and weird fittings. It’s a shame as I still have a few Folk pieces that are probably over 10 years old and still going strong.

Did anyone clock the recent Norse Projects story? Grim.

Oof. That ain’t cool man.

Same here. I have a Folk Orb (not the band ) denim jacket that i’ve had for a very long time and the quality is amazing.

Such a shame.

YMC is definitely one of the best British brands right now at least for my tastes anyways! Also Marks and Spencer’s has some unreal menswear in at the moment. Spent a fortune in there as of late. Currently sporting a blue chore style shirt jacket I picked up yesterday, the tag says triple xl but it fits me like a glove and I’m usually a large ha.

i used to like Albam but their quality dropped a few years ago and i stopped buying anythign from them, for a while though their trouser cut was really spot on for me. sounds like a similar story to Folk but on a smaller scale. such a shame they couldn’t keep it going well.

Yeah M&S is having a moment at the minute, picked up some great “carpenter” style trousers in there recently for 40 quid which felt on par with Carhartt WIP / Universal Works equivalents.

Also on the high street front, Uniqlo is back on form (in my opinion) after a few dodgy collections. Have had to size down in most things though as they’re still very committed to the oversize trend in practically everything.

Skandi casual racism? I’m not shocked in the slightest…

Buy bits on sale but at full price is too much for me.

Anyone ever bought a fake football shirt before? I really fancy the new red England top and have seen a load of them pop up on Depop for around £20 that seem to look absolutely spot on from the photos. I absolutely would not pay £90 for a legit one.

Some odd sizes in the DSM sale for you GPS lovers with little or large feet - remember they’re US Womens sizes so check the UK size conversion.

I ordered a pair of these from DSM, I’m a UK 10.5 and thought I’d need a US 11.5. Actually needed to order a size 13, seems US women’s sizes are a different scale to men’s

Yeah US womens sizing is odd
