Where's Music At?

No idea what that meant - lost in transatlantic translation perhaps

Ooops, replied to the wrong thread! It’s a Barcelona thing!

Forget the big two - keep it real and get down to Europa for your footie :slightly_smiling_face: I used to live nex to the ground…

New LP from John Andrews drops today. More wonderful, mellow moments. This guy can do no wrong.

love this - playing the track ā€œForth Wallā€ on my radio show this week - fits in with loads of other mellow genres.

Been so busy recently no time to hit the forum, but had to drop in with this one - it sounds like Future Balearic to me:

Thought I’d pop in with a few more faves that might appeal to the TP massive:

Gently winding, far-reaching journey through the ambient electronic condition

ā€œsurrealist Americana meets ambient eco-jazz.ā€

Ambient Americana LP of the year so far: (this dude always delivers)

Dream weaving, gently delivered singer songwriting from Japan

Ambient/downtemp electronic debut of the year so far:

Lyrical weight surfs folktronic rock, glitchy AOR makes out with toad licked Americana.

I’m also still packing the daytime chilling/sunset session focussed Slow Balearic playlist with as many new tunes from independent artists who are unintentionally Balearic as I can find, and who couldn’t put a pin on Ibiza on a map. I think I’ve finally come to the conclusion that if you’re trying to be Balearic then you aren’t - discuss!

Steven R. Smith has carved quite an underground name for himself via his various guitar led reflections/hollers/streams-of-consciousness on his Worstward imprint, with the Ulaan Paserine alter ego hitting the TSMM sweet spot. So if stoned rather than double dropped psychedelic vibes, universally attuned mantric guitar and free spirited, hippy trail dreaming,no words needed acid-folk is your thing then pack a few things, turn East and start walking.

It’s a proper album, taking it up a notch on the 12s.

Not sure it is been mentioned on here but Bobby Lee’s Endless Skyways album is a really good piece of americana/blues/ambientish stuff. He’s from Yorkshire but it sounds straight from the swamps.

He’s proper, there were some definite desert blues vibes going on with the new LP as well!

This is quite a unique one - some amazing sound design & experimental vibes in places but he’s somewhow made something Balearic at times…
