Where's Music At?

Ambient Americana & lap/pedal steel are a wonderful thing. Add an ensemble, all with their real world instruments set to stun & the result is this wonderful super snuggly, sedentary suite courtesy of Lake Mary & crew for @auralcanyon

Silent Spirit wants to heighten spatial awareness, a quality I’ve always found headphone experienced ambient music has in hectic urban & natural soundings. His new LP is a lovely relaxed listen, so hit play and give life’s visuals a bit of seasoning.

The forthcoming Confidence Man - Holiday (Bruise Remix) is bloody amazing!!

This sounds right up my current pedal steel fascinated alley.

Thanks for tip, looking forward to checking it out.

This would have been a nice gig

Really great and also interesting that he has seemingly left R&S as well especially after all of the drama that was surrounding the label in recent months.

I was a bit of a late convert to pedal steel but I’ve now got an ambient pedal steel LP dropping on the label in February from The Howard Hughes Suite.
I reissued this LP from him earlier in the year to get the ball rolling:

Bit of shame considering the label’s musical legacy. The owner needed to get with 21st century thinking but just kept digging his hole instead :frowning:

Great find! Proper lo-lit psychedelic live vibes - nice one

Adversity is often a musician’s friend & the musings of Claire Cronin (@churchofdespair) whilst dealing with cabin fever during Covid lockdown recordings, lit by the hallucinogenic glow of nearby Californian wildfires whilst contemplating impending motherhood have produced a stunning, suitably hazy, crepuscular folk meditation on life, death, looking within whilst dreaming of escape for

True to ethereal folk, nebula neoclassical, dream pop & pacifying of post rock form Will Samson & @MessageToBears are back with another soothing, healing transmission that will simultaneously banish your worries, mop your fevered brow & massage your feet.

The harp resurgence continues, this time via a rare male protagonist Andy Aquarius, as he fuses this ancient instrument with gentle utterances & a supporting cast of subtle ambient embellishments in this most soothing of listens for @HushHushRecords. Might be on for release cover art of the year as well :grinning:

In 2019 I released a single from Zoltan and figured it was ripe for a remix so I contacted a couple of likely lads from my then place of residence, Lisbon. Blind Patterns is the more eclectic pseudonym of the more acidic jacking rawer house sounds of Larry Quest and here he takes Fecso one hell of a sprawling journey. You decide where. Zoltan actually decided he was moving in different musical directions and didn’t want the remixes released but kindly allowed the remixers to do a Bandcamp release as a thank you. I’m glad he did.

Just a heads up as well I’ve given the Slow House playlsit a complete revamp - loads of new(ish), mostly sub 115BPM house tunes. Pretty eclectic but I’d like to think a proper house vibe tying everything together.

First Ibiza party I’ve seen for next year, have no idea who/what it is but Day-Night doesn’t give much hope for Raving after midnight for next year :pensive:

Aiming his synths for the stars but grounding the machines with exotic earthly percussion, John Thayers’s new LP for the aptly named Moon Villain is here for you if you want a freewheeling cosmic ride.
