Dave Booth at The Hacienda in 1990, Dave was a bit of a local hero in Manchester & a big influence on me musically & DJ wise, my uncle gave me a dub of one of his mixtapes when i was 14 in spring 1990 & it had a huge impact on me & helped shape my musical taste forevermore.
I’ve still got the tape.

I remember a Tom Wainwright hacienda mix from the mid 90s that was really good… We were lucky in Ireland the club Sir Henrys started in 1988 and sold a mix tape every month of the tunes you would have heard on Thursday and Saturday night at the club and it was Just American House.
Some classics

I saw Tom Wainwright once, outside Vinyl Exchange in the NQ in Manchester stood with his record box in the middle of the day, i asked him the time & he ignored me, i’ve never liked him since lol

Genuinely surprised at how well (at points even pretty inventively) this is segued together for the time.

I’ve done my fair share of indie dj sets and for the most part it receives groans when some punters realise i am going to mix it all like a proper dj set. This set sounds like quite a fun night out at the time.
