Whats the last record you bought?

this is my sort of deal right now:

“Continuing the ‘Tuna’s m.o. of homegrown, dubwise psychedelia that eternally pivots on the edge of chaos and funk, On “Warping All By Yourself,” funk and soul are both the unifying principles and the unlikely bedrocks upon which everything else orbits and rests, resulting in a concoction of iconoclastic, free-dancing music that has as much in common with Funkadelic as it does Crazy Horse.”

I think I’ll keep it and play it on my more cosmic sets. It was a good find but not the best I’ve done

Year ago I found this Barbados Soca album in mint condition from a village under 100 people in Central Finland. Found lots of other stuff from there too… Whizz - Can you hear me 7’’, some Kenyan really rare soul 7’’ etc.

But yeah like Jaakko Eino Kalevi sings: The result of your search is up to your own effort and luck and effort and luck.

I think a ton of us will be buying this record. We have a winner (via @Piers)

A test pressing of Oscar G’s The Soul under his Gee-Man guise on Strictly Rhythm.

Lindstrom’s taken another new direction there.

Yeah, not sure it’s a direction I like tbh, given it a couple of listens & it hasn’t grabbed me so far.

Someone on Discogs has posted a review that many seem to relate to:

I’m a big fan of his early records and he’s obviously super talented, but it’s a bit challenging for me, his recent output.

Some bloke on Facebook sold me this for a fiver. Crazy score! Has the bonus EP and looks like it’s never been played.

Is it his best solo work? I think so overall, for me

Could be, really, really good, one of those albums that finishes & you put it back on again.
Brendan Lynch a top producer as well imo.

My one concession to RSD is whenever there’s a FSOL release. This is magic! Future_Sound_of_London_-_Rituals
