won a little eBay skirmish to get this
eBay skirmish⊠ah that takes me back to the '00âs. Not had a good skirmish in a long time
eBay is great at the moment. seems to be much cheaper than discogs. total pain to search though
iâm on a bit of a spree lately. i suspect depression is the culprit, because iâve needed every last little bit of dopamine kick that can only be found when bringing cool new records into the house.
first, my juno order finally showed up, the box in tatters but the records inside surprisingly intact.
just fuckinâ lovely, and seemingly impossible to source in the states. glad i got one when i could
big fan of prins emanuel - this one feels like it sits between the throb of his first album and sedate wandering of his second album. also nearly impossible to find in the states.
i love leng, what can i say. this is a fun one - not many other things sound like this.
similarly, not many things sound like emperor machine - these records sound wonderful when played nice & loud.
i donât think anyone on the forums has NOT enjoyed this one yet. glad i got a copy when i could. by the way, this is might be the most difficult record ever to request via alexa.
i also went and saw my pal RJ at daybreak records yesterday - seattleâs got some good record shops but this one is the king of them all. expertly curated.
i have an 80âs gig coming up in a couple of months and a soft spot for half-forgotten new wave club jams. itâs not balearic.
this is balearic, obvs. i have the singles that make up this album, but this was cheap and i couldnât resist the album art. RJ thought the vinyl was a little bit skated but i played it last night and it sounds great.
another cheap one - man i LOVED the early FSOL records and still do but didnât stay close and invest in anything they did after âdead citiesâ, so picking this up was nice but it also made me feel a little bit old. thatâs ok. sounds great.
havenât listened to this one yet, but it was also cheap and i remember liking the other TM juke albums. i was on tru thoughts promo list for a while, and it worked out well for me when doing downtempo bar and hotel lounge gigs. maybe iâll get back into that if everything opens up safely.
should have bought this when it first came out but didnât for some dumb reason - and itâs perfect. sometimes i think that psychemagick go a little overboard but this one lends it to all the extras and itâs surprisingly tight for being 14 minutes long. plus the original is just delicious.
Just picked up both of these for pretty cheap. I really like the Julia Holter record, I remember the hype around it when it initially came out and brushed it off. But it is a pretty good listen
I bought that quintus project today! I pinged the original over to a mate of mine who described it as âleg warmers and leotardsâ. He is a novacastrian , mind. I Agree about the psychemagik mix- it pushes to he limit but gets away with it
Didnât really feel the psychemagik remix tbh. The original is too perfect and sounds like it couldâve been made yesterday
Really wish someone would reissue the original - love the whole record, âDawnâ in particular. and that Boz Scaggs cover art.
A sound clip from a standout on Crammed world if there are any?
This one just came in today. Sunstroke âNothings Wrong In Paradiseâ
Amazing reissue job from Libreville Records
Thatâs great. Thanks for sharing.
Such a lovely record. Mine showed up today as well.
this label on a roll at the moment. if you havenât already check out the niko tzoukmanis lp.
