Whats the last record you bought?

Took me many, many years to track one down! A portal to another space.

It’s one of those records that I used to walk past, knowing it was there but figuring I’d get it some other time. But then it wasn’t available. Ever!

Meanwhile I was tracking down tunes from old Mix Morris sets that I loved - which has taken me a lifetime- and eventually the penny dropped that 2 or 3 of his staple tracks were actually from this album. Doh! But, we get there in the end!!

Alice Coltrane – Kirtan: Turiya Sings

More subdued than The Ecstatic Music Of Alice Coltrane Turiyasangitananda, but just as good. Deep, warm, and infinitely playable.

Popped into inverted audio in Peckham yesterday for the first time. Some great dubby techno bits on offer.

Picked this up without listening beforehand. Very pleased so far.

Bug vs ghost dubs. Heavier darker dub that I normally listen to.

Los Hermanos on pre-order the clips sound really good as always.

If you are talking about the forthcoming Keep Hold Tight ep, and in a hurry, 3 of the 4 tracks are on this old cd/digital release (clips sound the same to me)

Always loved this bit of 90s zouk - found a copy of the album at a nice price

Thats the one, ta. Im in no rush tbh.

There’s an edit of that without the vocal. Trying to remember what it is. Never head the original before, like a Zouk Michael Jackson. Killer.

I originally heard it as a beat on a french hip-hop album from the mid-00s and had added the source to my wantlist… the 7" goes for mad money and of course I needed a copy in the US to get around any tariff business, ridiculous. Remember ordering mad records from abroad ? Those were the days…

Arrived back from work to these two deliveries.

Been after the Buckingham Nicks for years and only ever been able to find battered copies so very happy they have re-issued it.

The LCD Tom Sharkett is the perfect tune for a Friday!
