sort of similar to the woob album that arrived a couple of days ago - more sort of spooky ambient noisescapes. i donât remember where i first heard this but i liked it and stuck it in my wantlist. the cover would make you believe itâs a little more pretty and pastoral than it actually is - itâs got some cool loops and patterns, but itâs colder and a bit more mechanical than youâd think.

bobby lee makes some of that ambient country that i love so much, but he tends to be a little bit more accessible and less abstract than most of the cosmic americana that i buy. similar to tommy guerreroâs âlos daysâ project. this one wasnât on my radar, my ex pointed it out to me and it was an immediate purchase. since the other record showed up in the sellerâs inventory from my wantlist, i bought that one too.
i buy a lot of records, but i can tell that the depression is taking hold of me - itâs been new packages on the doorstep every day for four days. not the worst way to get the dopamine hit, but some days iâm somewhat ashamed of the compulsion. at least iâm supporting art and artists, and itâs nice to hold a beautiful thing in my lap.

All three of those are killer. That Mowest compilation is full of absolute gems but the title track gets me every time.
