Whats the last record you bought?

Not really an audiophile but last month went to an audiophile listening party where they played Abraxas on Klippschorns and a Luxman amp and it was incredible. Decided to spring for a 1/2 speed remaster and it sounds fab even on my system.

Pinched as well :v:t3:

Postie just rocked up with this. Bought off the back off listening to @Apiento NTS show last Saturday. Marlboro sounds is a lovely track.

You’ve done well there. Bottom three are on my wants list.

Said I wasn’t going to rebuy records after the great cull but that Coral D is too damn good.

The instrumental is properly balearic. It was either Moon or Mike who played it early doors at a ‘Nado and my fragile state just had to know what it was. Properly embarrassed myself but got the name of the record so all good.

Dissolve is amazing!

It is so good. Was playing the digital file the other night and decided that it needed a place on the shelves.

Is that Rim & Kasa?
Great record, I think I opted for an edit a few years ago…let me check…

Yes, this one:

How is the LP?

I’ve met so many people who would “never” ask the DJ for a record name, and it surprises me.
I guess that’s what separates us from the rest.
I need to know, and have no shame in asking.

I always think it’s a mark of respect. And I’ve learned some great tracks that way - even been given some “off the decks”.

I try to get my kids to thank or fist bump a DJ if we’ve been somewhere and enjoyed the music.
Especially if it’s some background gig on a lunchtime shift at a market or something.
I appreciate the guys and girls who make maximum effort even in the shitest situation.

I was them once. Done that shift, and it’s awkward as fuck

I couldn’t agree more. But in this case Nado was on a Sunday and I’d probably been out since Friday and nobody - particularly not Richard - has the patience for a 6’5” South African who looks like he’s seen some shit asking you what the record you’re playing is in words and phrases that aren’t coherent or grammatically correct.

Haven’t had a chance to have a proper listen yet. It’s got a bonus 12” in it as well. Will report back

How was it, was thinking about popping down to it (and have done for the last couple of years but still not made it!)

I went to one in Peckham years ago but had never been to that one before. It was actually really good and the weather was great. Didn’t get that long to browse as had the family with me but that helped reduce overall expenditure!
