Such a great tune
Bit gynaecological…
It’s very odd isn’t it? So out of sync with the music.
Analog Trks vol1 by Abacus.
friend of the band, i suspect. “hey you wanna do our next album sleeve?” “hell yeah!”
a couple of months later the band is holding something that would make georgia o’keeffe blush, and it’s too awkward to ask for something else or to go with a solid-cover sleeve…
I’ve not bought some records, irrespective of the musical goodness, just because the design/artwork was a bit shit or I just didn’t like it on some level!
Weird huh?
Was in that London Thursday so popped to Phonica & SOTU
Meant to pick up Avianca but got so excited seeing Harry Mudie repress I forgot
Bit of catch up on Parkway
Mini splurge a couple of days ago. From Africa via Greek and US experimental as old as me, some pop and a scarce Weatherall 12” I had little recollection of!
The Mataya Clifford is good fun disco not disco with a hint of Eddy Grant Timewarp era. Adam Ant is credited with the design and theres an interesting quote on the Discogs page-
“We were told that DJs don’t like playing 12 inch singles, so we’re bringing out a 7 inch version and then we’ll see what happens.” (NME interview 5/7/1980, page 19)
DJing, on 12" single? Never take off
We’ve all got a weakness
Says on juno this isn’t out for another month. Love a bit of linkwood!
I follow Dave Jarvis on the socials Andrew. Think they have a few pre-releases left.
Spoke to Dave earlier all good! thank you much appreciated for the heads up Chris.
That 12 is excellent.
Juno have it now too I just got an instock email alert.
Beautiful record and could be a shout for 2006 in the 25 x 25 thread.
