I heard 2000 pressed
a nice lil’ stack from further:

i loved the “field guide to inner harmony” release, so this was sort of a no-brainer as it’s all from the valley of the sun back catalog.
it’s funny what we turn our noses up when we’re young - there was SO MUCH new age music clogging up portland record stores when i first started buying a lot of records. i must have shot right past so many gems.
this one’s on black vinyl (which doesn’t seem to be in discogs yet), as i prefer.

had to pick it up, after streaming it scads of times. i probably did NOT pass by the original of this in those portland record stores (i’ll bet the originals stayed closer to home), but i’ll never know for sure.

decidedly not new age, but wonderful in a different way. the first crazy p album i’ve bought since “the wicked is music”, which is an oversight on my behalf. not playing as many house gigs, i wasn’t buying that much new house music. but i should have been (especially “age of the ego”).

also not new age but also not totally house either. but good. didn’t love it at first, but it grew on me and then i thought i’d better pick it up while i still can.
https://www.discogs.com/release/31355569-Greg-Foat-The-Glass-Frog
really good, and along with “the rituals of infinity” just some of the best modernized jazz of the last year. greg foat makes me wish i had more money (or maybe narrower interests).

https://www.discogs.com/release/27845643-Various-Multi-Culti-Solstice-III
i go on these lil’ jags where i dig into a label and then quickly fall in love and buy up what’s available. again - wish i had more money - but i am sort of lucky in that at least this is north american import pricing rather than europe import pricing.
Long time want finally reissued.
APRES-MIDI by TESTPATTERN
Also ordered up a copy of the new Isle Of Jura Dubs while i was at it, mainly for the killer @TheNightlark edit.
That Testpattern LP is ridic.
Been on the wants for a while. Glad it’s been reissued. Will nab it. Thanks for the heads up.
Copped this at a fair yesterday with a few other bits (Babera Pennington, Roy Ayres, Frontline Orchestra, Aurra…)
Sounds ace and a massive blueprint for vocal house - sure the lyrics has been re-used somewhere blinding obvious that I can’t remember of the top of my head …
I’m quite into French pop music that probably sounds good on wonky chocolate at the moment. And that Japanese pet shop boys cover is essential.
And some fab Moplen mixes (my fave)
Arrived today, not the greatest pressing, bit of a low not exactly crackle but interference as it plays out. Great tracks tho.
Mine is very crackly, need to give it a clean.
Love both sides of that Daniel Monaco. Top 7" ![]()
He seems like a bit of a dude as well. Starts his set off by playing the bass.
Famously sampled on this utterly essential record KZA - Le Troublant Acid Vinyl at Juno Records.
Love that Kza track.
Mine is absolutely fine
After being out with flue only opened & played Wham Blue for 1st time on Saturday & a really nasty scratch & they’re out of stock
