Love Bitches Brew.

I struggle with it. Maybe I need to re-evaluate.

Seems to be happening a lot with me lately. Albums I’ve not been keen on in the past have suddenly ‘made sense’ after a bit of a reappraisal.

I have to be in the right mood for it. It’s definitely one you need to play from start to finish and quite loud, and sometimes I get annoyed with it, other times really get into it.

I concur, I’m definitely going through the whole “hang on, I used to not like this” process also. It’s a bit of a gift.

the other track on the 12 is good too.

funny you mention Eccles, the DJ partner i mentioned is from Swinton, so not a million miles away.

The vinyl is of great beauty - and not just ‘cos of the music. Sleeve notes to die for.

Great tip thanks

Two local store finds here in Melbourne, less than $10 each.

Laid-back but locked-in guitar on Jimmy Stewart’s “Fire Flower”, and some arpeggiated experiments on The Lost Jockey’s “Professor Slack”.

Nice woodwork! After Piers mentioned Hunnee playing ‘Pear shaped…’ it’s the soundtrack to his ad for a forthcoming Phonox gig

Yeah, what a handsome plinth!

Yeh like that! Is it easy to get the deck out of it?

Yeh literally just plonks in it. Its not the same as the ones sold by audio gold which is a full on plinth. This just wrap around type thing.
