What you going to?

We will have some to sell on the new store. They are also repressing the Yves Uro book if anyone still wants that one.

Really looking forward to this on Friday night here in Sydney, especially as both Hugh B & Cousin are supporting!

It’s a while away, but I just booked Rotation Garden Party, which looks wicked. It’s going to be my 8 year olds first festival, been playing him as many Ruf Dug and Idjut Boys sets as I can find which he’s into (but not as much as the background music from Minecraft .)

Can’t think of a better place to get a small person into what proper (small, intimate, welcoming) festivals are about.

Well, apart from Together which is the first weekend of August - I’ll be going to that en famille, and celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary with a load of friends who were there - and our various offspring kids who weren’t, but have got to know each other at various festivals in the vein and size of Together/Rotation over the years.

Sadly, it’s looking near-impossible for me to make Rotation this year as well, but had a fantastic time last year. Pretty sure there were other small people around, and it’s the perfect size for them to go feral (which ends up being if, not when… best parenting moment one year at Together was when Etta was with a bunch of kids, saying ā€œhi Mum, hi Dad, this is [various names we couldn’t catch] - we’re just going back to the tent to hang out and get away from the olds for a bit, hope that’s OKā€ā€¦ it’s a wonderful feeling!)

He may enjoy this then from ghostly international Bandcamp email. Two full albums on vinyl :grinning:

Thanks for that, it did seem like a really good one to be his first, always a slight fear that it’s gonna be some kind of Rave Armageddon or a middle class food festival with The Lighthouse Family headlining. He’s pretty good at getting feral, but really into dancing/music and making friends so we should all enjoy the weekend. Have a good one at Together! :+1:

My son is 8 at the end of the month. This could well be his first record!

He currently thinks it’s hilarious to play everything at 45 +8

It’s the new 78.

Tickets bought - thanks for the heads up Piers! Five hours of Ron Trent on a sunday afternoon can’t be beat. Was gutted to miss his Phonox set last year – nothing but great reports on that. And Giant Steps is really nice – Nancy and Apiento were great there the other week…Looks like there will be a decent TP turnout for this one…

Golden Lion was pretty epic last night. I dont know what it is but there is something in the air up there that makes it pretty special. Not hard to see why it was Andrew’s favourite place to play. Such an outpouring of love and joy for the big man across the weekend. Its pretty wild that he continues to bring a whole community of people together from across the county and beyond to celebrate hls legacy.

Worth getting on the RA waiting list. Tickets often come up if you act fast

I made the trip to Amersham last night to see Timmy Regisford at Drum Club. Quite surreal to hear him play in an industrial unit out in the sticks. My first time at one of their parties and it was a great vibe, 150 people packed in a small space and all into it.

Timmy started in acapella overdrive - in the first hour we had Bernie and the Jets, Tiny Dancer, The Bottle, Any Love and Total Eclipse of the Heart (?!) over house beats. Bit much to be honest…But then he settled in, went deeper and we were off on the journey.

Good fun and worth checking out one of their upcoming parties - David Harness, DJ Beloved and Mark Francis coming up.
