Didn’t get to go to Roisin Murphy gig, a mate said Mcgregor’s sister is there with her partner who is a big target and some other serious individuals… Alot of police around them… Bit of a buzz kill to say the least…

Just back from Fat Freddy’s Drop at the Hammersmith Apollo. I’d never heard a single thing by them before tonight, but they are decent.

i loved that first album at the time - but i understand they’re basically jam band folks now, which is fine (if you’re into festival electronica jam bands)
There’s a certain type of band, who’s music I would never buy or listen to at home but that I would enjoy seeing at a festival, I’d put them in this category along with Henge, Sons of Kemet, Ezra Collective etc.

Was dragged along by the mrs and her gang to woodland disco festival yesterday, better than anticipated, Nightmares On Wax played a blinder, Mousse T and Spiller pretty decent for the occasion too and then David Morales was cooking but cruelly cut short by the worst rain I’ve seen almost anywhere, thunder and lightning too. Like standing in the shower.

I bought a ticket. But can’t go as it turned out to be a close mate’s 50th this weekend. I had the same thing last year too. Was considering just going Thurs/Friday but can’t make that work unfortunately. Gutted. It’s now 6 years since I last went, I think. Have fun!
