Great to see more of the slower good stuff getting played out !
7 till late is my kind of time⦠Late being Midnight
Going to Ibiza on Wednesday for 4nts. Not much planned other than eating and drinking, But a good reliable source on the island said thereās @Moodynann a vinyl night on at las Dalias on Saturday night could be worth checking out⦠Pete Gooding played the last one to good reportsā¦
Just back from the Joe Harvey Whyte, Jeffery Silverstein and Bobby Lee gig at Paper Dress Vintage. Absolutely amazing.
If youāre going to the Brighton gig tonorrow, youāre in for a treat.
Just booked tickets for Luke Una at the jazz cafe on the 14th. Be good to see Gramme live and looking forward to seeing who the special guest is. Everyone loves a special guest.
Iām going to this too
Busy weekend in sydney - DJād on Thursday night, then Friday was our monthly event - Blended, in a bar attached to an art deco cinema - had a great night of it
Then last night was Eddie Chacon and John Carrol Kirby doing a free show in a hotel lounge, which was very special!
Iām tempted by this too. My mates brother is in Gramme so thought i might try and get him out for it.
ALFOS in Brighton was great, lovely up-for-it crowd (loads of random hugs & characters) & Water Bear is a cracking venue, for anyone who remembers itās exactly the same layout as the original Zap club. Basically two brick tunnels under the prom, one for drinking, one for dancing. Intimate, sweaty & great sound.
Anyone been to Fabric recently? Whatās the security like? Asking for a friend obviously.
Youāll be alright- Weāll all look too old for that sort of thing
Haha yes my friends went to koko few weeks ago for the End 25th anniversary and they were nearly helped up the stairs by security lol
Taking the family to Stewart Lee at brighton dome in a couple of weeks. Iām looking forward to seeing what my 15 and 17 yr olds will make of it as much as seeing SL myself.
Also got tickets for the 20th Anniversary Lucky Sound party in June.
A freind went to Fabric last Thursday and said that Manfredas was brilliant. Though also said if he doesnāt have to go to Fabric ever again itād be too soon.
Manfredas was indeed brilliant. Curious to know what your friends beef was? There was a bit of queueing for some and certain rooms were pretty rammed at times but was a great night, a worthy cause and a fine tribute all toldš«”
Is that the Lucky Cloud party? Looks like theyāre sold out online, always wanted to go.
Weāll be at the Stewart Lee too, Iāll fail to keep a look out for you
Yes I did ask and got the impression it was just the busyness. Iāve never been so couldnāt really comment but I imagine being in our mid/early 50ās is less conducive to a very busy club than it used to be. Possibly the queue for the loo? Iād be guessing.
