Gutted to miss it for Covid related reasons. Looked great. Handed my tickets over to a mate. Haven’t heard from him since so assume he enjoyed himself….! Roll on 10 Dec at Spiritland.

Are all nights at Spiritland only 4 hours? I would only be just getting going.

I’ve always fancied going along to hear the system.

Is it as good as they say? Some on here will have been. It was mooted at the weekend but a few beers in the pub and catch up ended up being more conducive.

I think they are (Spiritland by Night) all 10-2. It’s not really a night club so can’t really be compared to a full on sweaty all nighter. Last time we got in there about 8 so had a couple of hours of drinks before they emptied out the tables and the ‘club’ started at 10. There was definitely enough time to get into it! It’s pretty civilised and not too packed which works for me right now.

It’s better when they crank it up for Spiritland by Night at the RFH one.

Bagged tickets for Primal Scream doing Screamadelica in Manchester next year. Had the option of Glasgow and it’s a damn sight nearer but a good excuse for a weekend in Manc.

Got tickets for Alexandra palace almost twenty years to the day since we got married there (great night, police arrived twice to tell us to turn it down, couldn’t even make it to the dance floor first as it was packed from the opening notes of you got the love). But we got the whole gang back together for the scream next July. Looking forward to it.

Last time I saw them Bernard Sumner said ‘wooo’ about 50 times heheh. It was well funny.

Finally, after over a hundred days of lockdown, Sydney is back in the swing of things - restrictions easing 4 days before our next event with “singing and dancing for both indoors and outdoors, including nightclubs, making a return.”

We’ve called this monthly gathering a Social Club, as it’s a great excuse for those of us who are older now, have kids etc and don’t really get out as much as we’d like to, to get together for a few hours in a very nice little cocktail bar and catch up with friends, soundtracked by trustworthy DJs exploiting an open book music policy. I realise this is of no use to anybody reading this from the UK or O/S, but I’m excited at it continuing after such a long break.

Off to Homobloc today. Currently enroute from Glasgow to Manchester. Line-up isn’t quite as good as the first one in 2019, but still plenty to keep me interested.

Very different journey down this time. Travelling myself and meeting friends who live there. I’ve had an apple and some pretzels. Two years ago the whole train carriage was like being at a party and I was about eight beers deep when we arrived.

No “Wooo’s” last night, but he was on good form. A most enjoyable gig.

Oh that’s good. I didn’t want to say but the woo before was killing me. I think he must have noticed. Respect for having fujiya and miyagi on before too - top band.

Yeah F & M were great. Really tight.

Nuova Napoli is a fantastic LP!

Didn’t know F&M were still around. Got those early 10”s on Tirk (I think?) and liked them a lot. I’ll have to dig them out.
