What you going to?

It’s pretty chill here on day two,sun is shining and our neighbours seem to like our playlist. All music from here I must say…

How was Another Thought? Did consider going but got tasked with gardening duties instead.

I thought it was fantastic. Had such a good time.

Caught loads of great music. (Too much, even. So many clashes that we managed to miss both Frank and Bill. Ray Mang kicked things off for us with a perfect sunshine-soaked set. Then we caught the end of Phil Mison’s. Had to dip out of Nancy Noise in favour of Paul’s set, followed by a tiny slice of Sarahtonin at LL and then the Idjuts till closing.)

Marvelled at the number of breweries in such a small area.

Drank some great beer.

Loved the lofi vibe of the whole thing - the car park! The distillery space next to the slightly moody car mechanics! Felt quite 1990s

Chatted briefly with @elzorro and @AndyM.

And, finally, amid the mayhem of the Idjuts (Madonna!), I discovered my Rave Hat twin:

Looking forward to the next one.

Second that, really nice day mooching about, Phil Mison, Paul, Bill, Idjuts, bit of Dennis Bovell…sun was shining beer was cold. Saying hi to @elzorro @Piers think I spotted you @padsyms ! Definitely a winner set up wise, same again in 2027:smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I had great day at Another Thought, it was really well organized, picked up wrist band no problem, bar queues were fine, no problems with toilets, some good sound systems and just a nice vibe all over. Caught a bit of Sarahtonin in the car park, then Neil Collins, then popped over to Test Pressing for a bit before catching a bit of Phil Mison then popped over to see a Ivan Smagghe and just got completely locked into him, ended up staying till he finished. By that point I’d lost my mates and couldn’t find them so time to head home as I’ve got a pretty full on day today.

Hope they bring it back next year.

completely random and totally unexpected pleasure of witnessing Omar, THEN Incognito!! for 3€ yesterday at Pankow Schloss Fest. to clarify, Pankow is an old school east Berlin suburb up north, not usually known for its ethnic diversity:sweat_smile:

sound was really good, Omar was good, and Incognito were so tight, such a lovely surprise

Great time at another thought, took a bit of working out where everything was at the start, but after that it was easy. Tom sharkett was brilliant, then we stayed in the gun room for a good while for Tia cousins, then erol who was brilliant as always. Had a bit of a queue to get into tryouts after but it was well worth it. Stayed there til close at 2 then Also got to watch the Scotland match at signature brew after! Missus feeling slightly under the weather now, gonna blame the frozen margaritas at the TP stage  but still hoping to get to the loft today for Coleen

It was so good, ended up in the TP room for about 4 hours having a proper time. Then onto Tottenham for the weirdest 2am football fan zone experience, took some adjusting.

Looks a proper day out, well up for it next year if it’s on

Loved Another Thought. Best thing I have been to in ages and a 15 min walk home. Bill was in great form as were the Idjuts. A very easy event to negotiate and good variety of places and DJs.

Echo what everyone says about Another Thought. Brilliant event, very well organised, easy to move one from one place to another. The variety of acts/stages was impressive, good sound throughout. Highlights were Grace Sands in the sun at lowlife, Dennis Bovell was superb, Nancy was fun and then the Idjuts knocked it out of the park. Ride Like the Wind took the roof off! Defo will return next year and thoroughly recommend it. Great to see you Tom and Patrick.

which Ride Like The Wind version?

Another endorsement. Great event. Grace Sands. Logan Fisher, Phil Mison, Bill Brewster, Dennis Bovell and Idjut Boys my highlights. Well organised. Nice to wander between venues. Hopefully a regular fixture!

I think it was the Dave Lee remix but possibly with some extra Idjuts tweaking, seemed to go on for ever!

Had a fun Sunday evening at the Loft yesterday. Been a couple of years since I’d been. It’s now at No90 in Hackney Wick which is a good venue. Always a nice crowd. Nice to meet Gregg and his wife. Always lots of classics but a few unexpected ones. This was tune of the night and a new one for me

Stewart Lee has been plugging this on Insta - very entertaining series. Must admit I hadn’t heard of half of them, but then I rarely stray offline these days
