That should be a fun one with Galliano. Saw them live last year and they were great and should be extra special at Dingwalls. Was hoping to go but going to see my Dad next weekend and got tickets for Protoje that evening in Kentish Town so will be too much of a squeeze.
Got our prog pants on last Sunday for a Rennaisance 3D bash (Emerson, Howells, Seaman) , it was surprisingly tough & heavy stuff at times, real late night vibe despite finishing at 10pm! Lloyd Barwood was main warm up and he was also on a similar tip and looked to be absolutely having the time of his life which was great to see.
Next thursday Stella And The Longos in Belgrade.
Hardly waiting after two weeks in hell on my work and 3 weeks not licking alcohol.
Friends betrayed me, no one interested ![]()
Anyone at Officer John in London tomorrow night?
Yeah, Iām going - looking forward to it!
ALFOS Glasgow tomorrow night @del are you still in?
In Sir! Canāt wait!
Went to the boss last night in LA. Pretty powerful stuff talking lots about a true America. Heās a top man.
Iāve really warmed to Springsteen in recent years. Canāt help thinking he shouldāve run for office when he was younger
Not mad keen on the music though, with one or two exceptions eg ā57 Channelsā¦ā is a big fave round ours
He is a great man
Was really hoping to make it out to this, but my wife and I just had a baby two weeks ago! If anyone here is in Vancouver, and looking for something to do this weekend, Iām kicking things off here on Saturday night!
How are people finding out whatās on? I know you can subscribe to newsletters etc. (I just resubscribed to the Barbican one as I was annoyed I missed James k), but I wondered if thereās a single source to go to?
P.S. Whoās going to Dave Huismans at Cafe Oto next month?
Iām having a similar concern now Iām off the socials. Relying to a certain extent on dice emails on artists Iāve liked which is a bit ādiceyā <sorry, here all week etc>
Congratulations!
In Manchester, about to head to see Belle and Sebastian do their Tiger milk album. Itās the wifeās favourite band. Had a mooch around Piccadilly records this afternoon followed by pints in the Marble Arch and Port Street, to satisfy the beer geek in me.
This is good if you live in London!
Progtastic - Saw it & slightly intrigued by Soul Buggin doing other room
Shame no Ian Ossia
Yeah, finding out about upcoming stuff is the reason Iāve kept on the socials
Went to Pet Shop Boys Obscure tour/residency at Electric Ballroom last Wednesday, lots of very deep cuts including a few I didnt recognise despite considering myself a pretty big fan. Great night though including a guest appearance from Johnny Marr and a rare chance to see them in a small venue. Also helped by the unseasonably sunny evening weather ![]()
