Anyone at FKA Twigs tomorrow in London? Some concern I’m going to be the oldest bloke in the room, and I’m not that old
Mr Scruff through someone else’s phone
Not many people can squeeze Can you feel it, The funky drummer and Night boat to Cairo into the same set
He also played this which sounded incredible
You couldn’t pay me enough to get in one of those
Not that I live remotely near LA to attend, but I started following the ppl who run those nights on Instagram after I seen bill Brewster playing there and recommending, just in case I ever went on holiday and happened to coincide with one of their nights. I think you just get In touch via their DMs to RSVP. In case that helps anyone out
DJ Kerry was also on an episode of the DJH podcast.
Sounds like a great party.
It’s the best I’ve found in the US. Sort of like the loft with a load of LA people if you happened to find it under someone’s house up a hill somewhere…
No main act - Homeboy Sandman - due to the disruption from the Heathrow fire. This presumably affected loads of gigs this weekend.
I had no idea until the support act announced it. Any disappointment was alleviated by Mr Thing staying on until the end and delivering a casual masterclass in DJing.
We loved Sheffield. Proper nice vibe for a city. Went round the Greaves gallery on the top floor of the public library today, which was excellent.
My 18yr old daughter and her boyfriend went to Amsterdam yesterday for the weekend just to walk my friends dogs while they move into a new place… win win
We’re having a little album party on Saturday 5th April at All My Friends in Hackney Wick playing through their new soundsystem which I’ve not yet heard. Andy and I from start to finish. Hope some of you can make it - free entry! We’ll have a handful of copies to sell should anyone want one ![]()
Shall be at LoveVinyl on Saturday playing a few records in memory of my good friend Richard who is very sadly missed.
I remember meeting him (I’m sure it was him, total Faith geezer from South London?) in Croatia one year. He’d basically taken over the top floor of the hotel we were staying in like an acid house Colonel Kurtz. He only ventured downstairs when Brewster dropped in. What a character.
Yep
Certainly sounds like our Richard. Lived life to the fullest. Miss him dearly. Lifelong mates. The life and soul of many a party. He’s probably pestering Mr Ayers right now for a go on his vibraphone!
ALFOS in Margate on Saturday if any of you lot are about.
Cadet here, reporting for duty!
Have you been before ? Strangeish place
Went last year with load of mates, great time
We stayed in a great airbnb which was an old grand terrace house next to station with sea view
It was previously a BnB for builders (£20 / night)
No, big gang of us going, looking forward to it.
Have been to Margate but not the venue.
Belter
