Doing the Basement in LA next Friday. Really one of the best places here. A brilliant sound system in a basement and lots of freaky people that are open mindedā¦ not sure where you get tickets if youāre an LA personā¦

Not that I live remotely near LA to attend,but I started following the ppl who run those nights on Instagram after I seen bill Brewster playing there and recommending, just in case I ever went on holiday and happened to coincide with one of their nights. No main act - Homeboy Sandman - due to the disruption from the Heathrow fire. This presumably affected loads of gigs this weekend.
I had no idea until the support act announced it. Any disappointment was alleviated by Mr Thing staying on until the end and delivering a casual masterclass in DJing.
We loved Sheffield. Proper nice vibe for a city. Went round the Greaves gallery on the top floor of the public library today, which was excellent.
